Professor Rhonnie Washington teaches courses in Acting, Directing, and he also advises the Brown Bag Theatre Company. His most recent SF State directing credits include Tennessee Williams’s The Glass Menagerie and William Shakespeare’s Much Ado about Nothing, which advanced to the American College Theatre Festival Regional Competition.
He performs as a professional actor with San Francisco’s highly praised experimental ensemble, Thick Description. Recently, he performed the role of El Charro Negro in Thick Description’s production of Octovio Solis’s El Otro.
Professor Washington is also a Liberal Studies adviser for the College of Creative Arts.
