Ben Zingos

M.A. Student

Ben Zingos (he/him) is an M.A. candidate in Theatre Arts at San Francisco State University, where he also got his B.A. in Theatre Arts with a focus on Performance. His areas of focus include found space and unconventionally staged theatre, as well as Japanese theatre, particularly Rakugo, for which he is in the process of making the first English language catalogue of plays. He is an active actor and has appeared in multiple SFSU productions, including Antigone and A Nice Indian Boy (Both in 2022). He is also a playwright, and his play Memories is being staged as a part of the SFSU Creative Writing Greenhouse Staged Reading Festival in May of 2024.  He is directing his first production for his thesis Creative Works Project (CWP), an immersively staged production of John Logan's RED in the SFSU scenic paint shop. His goal is to be an active theatre practitioner who participates in theatre scholarship.
