Peet’s Coffee opening in SF State library raises questions about corporations on campus - Golden Gate Xpress
“I really like Peet’s, but I try not to buy food at chain stores because I am personally against large corporations,” said Tricia Brooks, a theatre arts major. “The problem is that many people choose the chain stores over ones they are not familiar with.”

Busch was the first batgirl in MLB history, Slaughter said, was with the team from the 1999 season through 2002 -- meaning she suited up at both Candlestick Park and what was then Pacific Bell Park.
She later studied stage management for theater at San Francisco State University and in 2008-09 studied sports management at the University of San Francisco.

UPAC college merger savings falling short of projected $1 million | Golden Gate Xpress
While former CA Associate Dean Ronald Caltabiano left SF State, and former BSS associate dean Sacha Bunge is not currently compensated as Dean of Faculty Affairs, the Liberal and Creative Arts College hired former theater chair Todd Roehrman as an additional associate dean this spring.

“I have been working in theatre for about 25 years and just doing all aspects,” he said. “I’ve worked for companies all over the Bay Area. My day job is teaching theatre in schools in San Francisco and Berkeley.”

He was a strong advocate for new plays, said Larry Eilenberg, chair of theater arts at San Francisco State University and former artistic director of the Magic Theatre. "He got the Guthrie to start its new plays program very early on, when most major regional companies were focused on the classics and hadn't really thought about doing new work."

Judas Iscariot, the apostle of Jesus Christ, went down in history as the disciple who turned in his soon-to-be crucified leader to the authorities for thirty pieces of silver. The question of Judas’s motives for this took center stage Jan. 26 at SF State.

Curtain calls
Inspired by a concept by Beth Wilmurt, who was inspired by a book about the biological roots of human emotions (A General Theory of Love), Mark Jackson directed Wilmurt and fellow "vaudevillians" Christopher Kuckenbaker and Jake Rodriguez at Z Space in one of the most inspired pieces of devised theater all year (with a close second going to Jackson's own SF State production of the blissful Wallflower).

East Bay Born Ingenue Has TV Debut On Spike - San Leandro, CA Patch
At 18 she returned to the United States and a year later entered the theater program at San Francisco State University. She performed at venues throughout the Bay Area, including the California Shakespeare Theatre and the Lamplighter Musical Theatre.
While still at San Francisco State she opted to study a year abroad in Sydney, Australia where she further honed her Shakespearean acting skills.
